Lately there are a lot of companies offering websites at dirt cheap prices, they claim they have thousands of templates that can be used by you and you can easily make the website yourself by placing sections on your site as per your need.
A word of caution here, what about the backend HTML/XHTML coding? Are you sure there's no junk code in the template? How can you be sure that the same template is not being used anywhere else.
Its your website, its like your front office on the internet - I don't think you should settle for a substandard website just because you're getting it cheap, spend some time with your website designer to understand this aspect before you choose to give him work.
